Hydretain ES Plus Granular QD is a patented root zone moisture management technology in a biodegradable, quick-dissolve granule. This product reduces watering needs by attracting and holding moisture in the root zone, making it available to plants. Suitable for turf, trees, flowers, shrubs, gardens, and agricultural crops, it’s ideal for both home and professional use.

When to Use
Apply Hydretain ES Plus Granular QD at any stage of a plant's life cycle. For best results, apply prior to plant stress or during planting, seeding, sodding, or transplanting.
How to Apply
- Preparation: Calibrate your spreader to ensure uniform application.
- Application: Apply the granules evenly over the desired area.
- Irrigation: Water thoroughly within 3-5 days of application to activate the product.
Coverage and Reapplication
- A 40 lb bag covers up to 14,800 sq. ft. at 2.7 lbs per 1,000 sq. ft.
- Reapply every three months or every six weeks at half the initial rate for extended effectiveness.
Specific Application Rates
- Turf: 120 lbs per acre or 2.7 lbs per 1,000 sq. ft.
- Large Planters & Gardens: 1 lb per 100 sq. ft.
- Shrubs & Individual Plants: 1 lb per cubic foot of planting media.
- Trees: 1.5 to 2 lbs per caliper inch.
Additional Tips
- Ensure thorough irrigation to integrate Hydretain into the root zone.
- Avoid mowing until the product has been watered in.
- Combine with a proper fertilization program for optimal results.
